Kingadong - from mother and country
Kingadong – from mother and country is a Stolen Generations story of trauma and triumph shared through music, poetry, prose, and images.
This intimate production invites audiences into a darker part of Darwin’s history touching on the Retta Dixon Home Facility as told by survivor, Marranunggu/Marrathiel elder, Frank Spry. Laced with voices and images from the past, filled with World Music written with his son David Spry, a light is shone on a dark place to celebrate the triumph of the years and successes that have carried the family through.
